about

This is the first full-length from Richmond, VA's Wrist Rocket. With lyrical content on everything from straight edge, to fatherhood, to Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, "Everything was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt" hopes to build on the foundation of bands like Saves the Day, Blink 182, and Jawbreaker while bringing some fresh perspective to the table. The album title is a direct quote from Kurt Vonnegut and the band's name is drawn from a Kid Dynamite song. Though neither influence is aurally overt, the thoughts and attitude of both influences shine through with intensity and a pensive lyrical approach that sets Wrist Rocket apart.

about

Hailing from Richmond, VA, Wrist Rocket is primarily the brainchild of frontman and songwriter, Matt Fisher. The project ... more stems from love of bands like Piebald, Saves The Day, and The Promise Ring. After spending years juggling Wrist Rocket with various hardcore projects, Matt finally decided to give the songs he’d written as Wrist Rocket a real chance. less
